Southlanders

Health & Wellbeing Zone [2009]

Opens 10th February 2009

Overview

This zone has been created by Southlanders to enable local residents to be able to access a series of activities aimed at enabling them to:

  • Learn about healthy lifestyles options

  • Participate in a range of activities to maintain and improve their health & wellbeing in the locality

The Zone is primarily aimed at residents who are "over 50" [but all ages are welcomed] and has received funding from the National Lottery, via AGE CONCERN's "Fit as a Fiddle" Campaign.

Other agencies, such as West Sussex Adult and Community Education, and the WEA, have indicated that they are interested in becoming "preferred partners" and will be providing a wide range of activities.

For more information about the range and type of activity on offer - please see "Calendar of Activities below
